Schautschick

Funeral services for Evelyn Schautschick, 87, of Serbin were held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 30, 2020 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Serbin with Rev. John Schmidt officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

Evelyn Dorine Schautschick was born on Feb. 2, 1932 in Warda, Texas to Gerhard Alvin and Mathilda Esther (Pietsch) Schubert. Evelyn was united in marriage to Albert Eldor Schautschick on July 23, 1950 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Warda.

Evelyn passed away the evening of Sunday, Jan. 26, 2020 at Oakland Manor Nursing Center in Giddings.

Evelyn is survived by her four children, Ronald Schautschick and his wife, Nancy of Giddings, Bonnie Wenke of Serbin, Gary Schautschick and his wife, Keeley of Northrup, and Steven Schautschick and his wife, Dorothy of Serbin; her 14 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; brother, Glenn Schubert and his wife, Louise of Mesquite, and her nephew, Will Woodson and his wife, Stacy of Garland.

Memorials may be made to the St. Paul Lutheran Church Building Fund in Serbin or to the charity of one’s choice.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Giddings.
