Foerster

Funeral services for Dennis Foerster, 77, of Manheim were held on Thursday, Feb. 13, 2020 at Ebenezer Lutheran Church in Manheim with Rev. Thomas Obersat Sr. officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

Dennis Louis Foerster was called to his heavenly home during the early morning hours of Sunday, Feb. 9, 2020 in Temple following a courageous fight with cancer.

Dennis was born on Feb. 4, 1943 in Manheim to Alvin Fred Foerster and Bertha Magdalena Lucy (Umlang) Foerster. He was united in marriage to Joyce Ann (Lehmann) Kieschnick on Nov. 5, 1966 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Warda.

Dennis is survived by his wife, Joyce Foerster of Manheim; his two daughters, Melissa (Kieschnick) Galipp and her husband, Wayne of Giddings, and Karen Hester of Giddings; two granddaughters, Dr. Kari Galipp and her husband, Dr. Eric Friedrich of Oklahoma and Katelyn Hester of San Antonio; three sisters-in-law, Eunice Foerster of Manheim, Brenda Woelfel and her husband, Larry of Warda, and Carolyn Lehmann of Warda; two nieces, Rhonda Lehmann and her husband, Darvin of Manheim and Renee Williams and her husband, Kyle of Waco; two nephews, Kevin Foerster and his wife, Krista of Manheim and Mark Woelfel and his wife, Sunny of Warda and other extended family members and friends.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Phillips and Luckey Funeral Home in Giddings.
