Ruby (Pietsch) Schuster

Ruby (Pietsch) Schuster, 91, of La Grange (Nechanitz), died peacefully on Thursday, Oct. 16, 2014 in Irving surrounded by 

family. Ruby was born on Feb. 16, 1923 the daughter of Traugott and Martha (Schulz) Pietsch. She was a life-long member

of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Warda where she was baptized and confirmed. Retired from LCRA, Ruby enjoyed a hearty laugh with friends, playing dominos, taking care of her beloved pets, hard work, and the family farm. But her greatest devotion was to her family and her faith. She is survived by her daughter, Mary Ann Strecker- Smith of Irving; two  grandchildren: William Strecker, III of Muncie, Ind. and Suzanne Strecker Droese and husband, David, of Dallas; and twin greatgrandsons, William Strecker Droese and Henry David Droese also of Dallas. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 54 years, Leslie Schuster; three brothers: Karl, Eddie, and Walter Pietsch; and two sisters: Ella Specia and Louise Bloedorn; and son-in-law, William Strecker, Jr. Visitation will be held on Friday, Oct. 24, 2014 from 12:30 

to 2 p.m. at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, located at 600 FM 1482 in Warda. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. immediately following visitation with Rev. Dennis Tegtmeier officiating. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Lutheran Cemetery.
