Memories Still Strong from Last Time Lady Horns Went to State

The Schulenburg Lady Horns made their second-ever appearance at the UIL State Girls Basketball Tournament in San Antonio on Thursday, March 5. The last time they made the state tournament was in 2003.

“Win or lose, the experience stays with you forever,” said Lindsey (Machac) Schiffli, who played on the 2003 team. “We played in Austin, and just walking into the arena and the womens locker room at (the Frank Erwin Center), and just seeing all of that. It was exciting.

“At some point you want to take it all in, but you also don’t want it to distract you,” Schiffli said.
