County Bucks Trend by Staying Rural

Bucking the trend of a gradual loss of farm, ranch or forest lands across the state, Fayette County actually showed a 2.08 percent increase in those kinds of land use over the years 1997-2012, according to latest survey by the Texas A&M Institute of Renewable Natural Resources.
