James Milton Chelette

James Milton Chelette, Jr., 51, of Humble died Friday, Oct. 31, 2014. James was born in Port Arthur on Dec. 31, 1962, the son of James Milton Chelette, Sr. and Judith (Whitson) Chelette. James enjoyed spending time with his two children, Jared and Georgia Kate. His gift from the Lord was selling gold coins for 30 years of his life. He was a true Christian and took his children to church often. He is survived by his parents; son, Jared M. Chelette; daughter, Georgia Kate Chelette; two sisters: Julianna Platt and husband, Gary, of Orange; Marianna Ladd and husband, Kenneth, of La Grange. He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Fayrene and Ben Whitson and Marie and Leo Chelette.  Memorial services were held at Koenig & Strickland Funeral Home, located at 208 W. Pearl St. in La Grange, at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2014. A private burial will be held at a later date.
