Clarence Frank Dittrich, 77, of Weimar, died Friday, Nov. 7, 2014 at St. Mark’s Medical Center in La Grange. Clarence was born in Schulenburg on Jan. 31, 1937, the son of Paul Dittrich, Sr. and Hedwig (Ripper) Dittrich. Clarence served in the National Guard and was stationed in Norfolk, Va. He married Gladys Marie (Wanjura) Dittrich on Nov. 8, 1959 in Weimar. They moved to Houston in 1962 to begin a career and start a family. They moved back to Weimar in 1996 to help take care of Gladys’ parents. Clarence worked 25 years for Squibb Pharmaceutical Company in Houston as a  Warehouse Manager, then started his own carpenter company - Clanco. Clarence was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Weimar. Clarence’s passion was work; and he did it well. He was a workaholic always on the go and nothing stopping him from doing it. He passed away doing what he loved best, carpenter work, with all its diversities. He loved being at the farm and taking care of the animals, especially the donkeys. He is survived by his wife, Gladys, of 54 years; daughter, Sharon Renee Bage and grandson, Ryan Keith Bage of La Grange; sister, Angie Kleiber of La Grange; sister, Cleo Wenske of La Grange; sister and brotherin- law, Helen and Arnold Janda of La Grange; brother and sisterin- 
law, Paul and Kitty Dittrich of Schulenburg, and brother and sister-in-law, Andrew and Becky Dittrich of Sacramento, Calif.; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; son-in-law, Brian Keith Bage; in-laws, Fred and Selma Wanjura; brothers-in-law, Paul Kleiber and Vernon Wenske. Visitation will be held on Friday, Nov. 14, 2014 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Hubbard Funeral Home in Weimar. Family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Funeral Services (Rosary/ Mass) will be held at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, located at 410 N. Center St. in Weimar, at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 15, 2014. Burial will follow at the St. Michael’s Catholic Cemetery.
