Atlan M. Citzler Sr. remembers Hurricane Carla as if she had made landfall in Fayette County yesterday. “Carla blew through La Grange well after dark on Monday, September 11, through the early hours of Tuesday, September 12, 1961,” says the former long-time La Grange utilities manager.
