Delvin G. Meiners

Delvin G. Meiners, 85, of Houston, died Thursday, Dec. 11, 2014 at Memorial Hermann Medical Center in Houston. 

Delvin was born in Waldeck on Oct. 11, 1929, the son of Gustav Reinhard Meiners and Lillie Marie (Schellberg) Meiners.

He married Violet Fagan on Nov. 25, 1970. Delvin worked as a Die Grinder for Cameron Iron Works upon his retirement. He also drove a dairy delivery truck. He is survived by his sister, Vadie Oeser of Nechanitz and step daughter, Donna DeWitt of Killeen. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Violet Meiners, of 33 years; brother, Harvey Meiners; and step daughter, Carol Satterfield. Visitation was held on Saturday, Dec. 13, 2014 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Koenig & trickland Funeral Home. Funeral Services were held at Koenig & Strickland Funeral Home at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 14, 2014. Burial followed at Waldeck Cemetery.
