Phyllis Rae (Measles) Russell

Phyllis Rae (Measles) Russell, 90, of Ft. Worth died Friday, Dec. 26, 2014 in La Grange. Phyllis was born in Denison on Sept. 12, 1924, the daughter of Bill and Vinnie Blanche (Berry) Measles. Phyllis married Johnny Covert Russell on July 5, 1942. She is survived by three daughters: Juanet Copeland of La Grange; Annette Krone and husband, Greg, of Weatherford; Vennette New and husband, Bob, of Burleson; brother, Gerald Measles and wife, Sue, of Ft. Worth; eight grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren and numerous other family members that were very precious to her. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Johnny Russell; and brother, Billy Measles. Graveside services will be held at Bethesda Cemetery in Burleson at 11 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 5, 2015 with Pastor Lou Tiscione officiating.
