Margaret “Grace” McDonnell, 82, of La Grange passed away on Saturday, April 25, 2020.

Grace was born in Washington, DC on Sept. 15, 1937, the daughter of Ignacios and Clara (Sikes) McDonnell.

Grace was an LVN at Colonial Health Care in Schulenburg for 37 years.

She is survived by two daughters, Tammy Browning and husband, Les of La Grange; Genea Schulze and husband, Clarence of Burnett; two sons, Maurice Unger of La Grange; Xan Duncan of Beeville; brother, Paul McDonnell of South Carolina; sister, Patsy Wester and husband, Preston of Missouri; four grandchildren: Cody Kovar and Cassidy Kovar, both of La Grange; Chris Schulze and wife Ellye; Kyle Schulze and wife, Holly, all of Burnett; four great-grandchildren: Daeshawn Hutchison; Darius Steward; Shiloh Schulze and Maya Schulze.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters: Lillian Stone and Mildred Gill; and brother, Marice McDonnell.

In an abundance of caution due to the recent health issues, and in accordance with the CDC and local County Judge recommendations, the family has requested a private family funeral service.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Koenig-Belvill Funeral Home & Cremations in La Grange.
