Doris June Forsythe

Doris June Forsythe, 84, died peacefully at home on April 2, 2015, with her family by her side in Muldoon. She was born Jan. 4, 1931 in Muldoon where she was raised and later enjoyed her retirement years. She was one of seven children of the late Ovie Blankenberg and Benno Lueders. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings: Alton, Alvin, Parker, and Bobby Lueders, and sister, Dollie and her husband, Conrad Null. She is survived by brother
Benny Lueders and his wife Mary of Smithville; sisters-inlaw, Dorothy Lueders of Smithville and Maureen Lueders of
Bastrop. Her husband of 68 years, Eugene W. Forsythe of Muldoon, their children: Alton Forsythe of Muldoon, and Molly 
and her husband Hank Stegall of Southlake; in addition to four grandchildren: Dawn and her husband, Brian Gage; Zach and his wife, Susan Barton; Sara Jamaica and her husband, Robert Moers; and Roxanne and her husband, Stephen Hughes, along with four great-grandchildren: Austin, Emma, Parker, and Lanova; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Doris was affectionately known as, “The Queen of Muldoon” for many years during the  annual Fourth of July Parade. She was an active member of the Muldoon Baptist Church and valued greatly her relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ.
Doris was a beloved member of her community for the decades of selfless and faithful service to local Muldoon churches and her many friends and loved ones. She touched the lives of countless people with her smile, generosity, quick wit and trademark sense of humor…she was pure sunshine to all who knew her and will be deeply missed. Doris June was laid to rest beside her siblings, parents, ancestors and friends at Pitman Cemetery in Muldoon. The family requests any donations be sent to Muldoon Baptist Church, 300 Cochran St., Muldoon, Texas 78949 or Hospice Brazos Valley in LaGrange.
