Up From the Ashes

The home of Bob and Marie Allen on Prairie Valley Road west of La Grange burned to the ground on Oct. 3, 2011. After

traveling widely, the Allens had just settled into the gracious 19th century home for their retirement. Their house and all the furnishings including personal items were lost in the blaze. After the fire, the Allens moved to a home on the Bluff.
