When former district judge Dan Beck died Sunday night at home after a battle with Lou Gehrig’s Disease at the age of 70, Fayette County lost one of its most important leaders. “Dan was an institution,” said Fayette County Judge Ed Janecka. “He served the county in so many capacities.
