Snakes and snake stories are on the move. Below are two first-hand accounts: • On April 8 about 3:30 p.m., while working in her flowerbed, Joyce Matthijetz of Winchester (mother of FCR staffer Becky Wiese) was bitten near the tip of her right ring finger by a small copperhead about the diameter of her pinky finger. Many victims experience intense pain, but she did not.
