Delta Ida Mach

Delta Ida Mach, 95 of La Grange, died peacefully on Wednesday April 15, 2015 at Care Inn in La Grange. Delta was born on March 12, 1920 in Swiss Alp, the daughter of Henry and Louise (Munke) Stoever. She fell in love and married James Edward Mach on Nov. 12, 1941 in San Antonio. Delta was a resident of Alvin for over 50 years. She spent her last 17 years of her life in La Grange. She was a homemaker, longtime member of the Alvin Lutheran Church, Swiss Alp Lutheran Church, and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She loved her family, yearly Mach family reunions,and gardening. Delta is survived by three sons: James Mach and wife, Janice; Thomas Mach; and David Mach and wife, Lisa; three grandchildren: Julie Nobles and husband, Jonathan; Sara Orsi and husband, Troy; and Stefan Mach; four great-grandchildren: Grace Nobles, Jordan Nobles, Kyle Orsi, Emma Orsi; and numerous other family and friends. Delta was preceded in death by her parents and loving husband of 48 years, James Edward Mach. The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff at the Care Inn for their care and friendship to Delta. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, April 27, 2015 at the United Evangelical Lutheran Church in Swiss Alp located at 2038 FM 3171 in Schulenburg.
