Rae Wells

A celebration of the life of Rae Wells will be held on May 16, 2015. Rae was a former resident of La Grange and Weimar and the mother of Peyton, Brennan, and Brooke Wheelis. Among other things, Rae was a talented, passionate, beautiful soul who will be greatly missed. Rae impacted the lives of many people in Fayette County and beyond with her artistic photography. She photographed weddings, graduations, families, and other celebrations while capturing the true spirit and essence of each person. Rae’s other talents included makeup artistry, home decor, cooking, baking, and gardening. Her homemade, Louisiana-inspired pralines were among her friends’ and families’ favorite treats around the holidays. There was nothing she couldn’t accomplish including the remodeling of an entire house almost singlehandedly. Her accomplishments and artistic work will live on in the pictures she took and in her beautiful gardens and homes. Rae was a passionate, loyal friend. She loved her friends, music, and living life to the fullest. If you were lucky enough to have a playlist dedicated to you by Rae, then you understand her passion for music and friendship. Rae dove head first into most situations. She loved deeply and with her whole heart. But there was nothing she loved more than her children. Her true strengths will live on forever in these three beautiful people. Brooke, Brennan, and Peyton— ur hearts and prayers go out to you. May you always feel your mother’s passionate love. We will come together to celebrate Rae’s life in the only way she would want us to--loud and clear. We will share stories she can no longer tell, listen to music she can most certainly still hear, and toast to her amazing soul. Her friends and family are thankful to have known Rae. Please join family and friends at the home of Deborah and John Bradley, 1166 E. Oak Street in La Grange. The celebration will begin at 4 p.m.
