Roy Henry Krebs

Roy Henry Krebs, 84, born on March 21, 1931 in Shelby to Hellmuth E. Krebs and Martha Kelm Krebs, died in Houston on April 28, 2015. Roy was a 58 year member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church. He had belonged to the Polka Club of American. Roy was a US Army Veteran and member of the American Legion Post No. 654. He retired after many years of working as a carpenter contractor. Roy was preceded in death by his wife, Vernice Mae “Tootsie” Krebs. He is survived by his children, Debra Moore, Rhonda and her husband Johnny Pizzitola, Randall Krebs, Lanee and husband Ty Sheer; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brother, Glenn Krebs and wife Connie; sister, Verlin Huebel. Visitation with the family will be held from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m., Sunday, May 17, 2015 at Waltrip Funeral Directors. Services will be held at 10 a.m., Monday in the Waltrip Chapel. Interment will follow at Memorial Oaks Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be forwarded to Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 7901 Westview, Houston, Texas 77055.
