Jimmie Charles Gifford, Jr., 60, of La Grange, died Sunday, July 19, 2015 in Kinder, La. Jimmie was born in Marfa, Texas on Feb. 3, 1955, the son
of the late Jimmie Charles Gifford, Sr. and Lola (Anderson) Gifford Dean. He married his loving wife Peggy Wheeler on Feb. 9, 1974 in San Angelo.
Jimmie loved to read, especially about Texas History. He loved hunting and fishing; playing board games and black jack; traveling around Texas and surrounding
states; canoeing and camping; and most of all spending time with family. He had a great sense of humor and cherished his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy; daughter, Amanda Gifford McAleer and husband, Keith, of Leander; two sons: Jimmie Charles Gifford III of
Austin, and Shawn Gifford and fiancée, Breklyn Hall, of San Antonio; mother, Lola Gifford Dean of San Angelo; sister, Rebecca Kunkel and husband, Joe,
of Greenwood; mother-in-law, June Wheeler of San Angelo; two grandchildren: Tadhg and Eamon McAleer; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and
nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Jimmie Gifford, Sr.; father-in-law, James Wesley Wheeler; step father, Bill Dean; 
and two brothers: Arlin Gifford and David Gifford, Sr. Visitation was held on Wednesday, July 22, 2015 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Koenig &
Strickland Funeral Home in La Grange. Family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at Koenig & Strickland
Funeral Home, 208 W. Pearl St. in La Grange, at 10 a.m. on Thursday, July 23, 2015. Burial followed at La Grange City Cemetery.
