Diana Jean (Adams Rozmus) Haggerty

Diana Jean (Adams Rozmus) Haggerty, 66, died in La Grange on July 12, 2015 after a long battle with Scleroderma. She was born in Waterloo,
Iowa on Oct. 17, 1948, the daughter of Marion and Dolores Clough Adams. Diana was the oldest sister to siblings Paula Adams Phillips and Jeffrey Adams.
She graduated from West Waterloo High School in Waterloo, Iowa in 1966. After school, Diana married the late Peter J. Rozmus on July 17, 1966 and
raised four children who were her world and who she supported in every way, especially in athletics. Diana was a dedicated mother and spent many hours
watching her children playing sports and donating her time to the local athletic clubs. She was always their biggest fan. Diana married Gary Haggerty
on Sept. 1, 1995 in Sevierville, Tenn. Gary and Diana spent the last 20 years traveling and overseeing several RV parks and campgrounds around the
country, most recently managing the Oak Thicket Park on Lake Fayette in Fayetteville. They enjoyed visiting family, friends and meeting new people from
Ohio, Illinois, Florida, Arizona, and her favorite, Texas. She was a mother and a friend to many and loved them as her own. She
loved to dip her toes in any water they came across on their travels. She especially loved their trips to the gulf to buy shrimp, the smell
of the salt water and the stories Gary would tell. Diana enjoyed gathering with friends, visiting new places, playing cards, and rolling dice
(Farkle). She always had a book in her hands and loved a taste of anything sweet. Although during their travels Diana was a member of many churches,
she was a current member of the Calvary Baptist church in Canton, Ill. as well as the Second Baptist Church and the First United Methodist Church in La-
Grange, where she was a member of the choir and very in tune with the Bible, often reciting a verse from memory. Despite her poor health for
the past decade, Diana loved to spend time with her friends and family, including her children Anthony (Emily) Rozmus of Mechanicsburg, Ohio; Chadd
(Karen) Rozmus of Lexington, S.C.; Rex (Michele) Rozmus of Urbana, Ohio; Mindy Baylor of Vermillion, S.D.; and stepdaughter Michelle DeGroot of Knoxville,
Tenn.. Her grandchildren also brought her great joy, and though she was far away, she cheered on JP, Sam and Grace Rozmus, Brandon and Jeramia
Rozmus, Matt, Lee, and Genee Messinger, Rozmus and Bailey Baylor, and Devin DeGroot, and great-grandchildren Piper, Liam, and Charlotte, no matter
where she was. Diana was preceded in death by her late husband, Peter J. Rozmus. She is survived by her husband Gary Haggerty, her parents,
siblings, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a nephew, Matthew Anderson. Memorial services for Diana
will be held on Aug. 1, 2015 at First United Methodist Church in La Grange at 10 a.m. The family would like to thank Dr. White of La Grange
and all of the great nurses at St. Mark’s Medical Center in La Grange. Memorial Contributions can be made to Scleroderma.org in
order to help others fighting this terminal disease. Fayette Memorial Funeral Home in La Grange was in charge of arrangements.
