All Roads Lead to Matícka Praha on Aug. 15

For such a small town, a lot of people have roots in Praha – just look at the size of its cemetery. And for the last 160 years they have followed the windy road to “Matícka Praha” for the big Czech homecoming known as the Pražská Pout. The picnic is held every year on August 15, the feast day for the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the local Catholic Church’s patron saint.
