How the County Spends $21 Million

Fayette County Commissioners Court approved the 2016 county budget at their meeting on Monday, Sept. 14. The budget came in at just under $21 million, slightly above this year’s amount, but more than $2 million over the 2014 mark. As usual, the most expensive departments in the budget are the EMS service and the Sheriff’s Office, which spend almost $5.5 million combined.
