Oil Production on the Decline in Fayette County

Oil production continues to decline in Fayette County, according to the latest figures from the Texas Railroad Commission. The drilling and production decline here has roughly followed the drop in the price of oil. Crude oil prices fell from a high of nearly $110 a barrel last summer to below $40 at the end of August.
