La Grange Man Life-Flighted After His Motorcycle Flips

Fayette County Record Elmer Lee Hackebeil III, 47, of La Grange was flown to Brackenridge Hospital in Austin Monday afternoon with serious head injuries after a motorcycle accident on Von Minden Road. Hackebeil was riding his 2002 Honda motorcycle north on Von Minden in the area behind St. Mark’s Hospital when a motorist saw him leave the edge of the roadway and clip a concrete culvert.
