Friction in Fayetteville About Possible Rail Crossing Closures

Closure of up to two of five Union Pacific railroad crossings in Fayetteville, an issue which has been on the table for five years, according to Mayor Ronnie Pflughaupt, is back under active consideration. The city council will consider their options at a meeting Thursday (rather than the usual Wednesday) after a presentation by city engineer James Weishuhn.
