Schmeckenfest Draws 2,000 Downtown

An estimated crowd of over 2,000 people attended Thursday night’s Schmeckenfest celebration in downtown La Grange, making it the largest Main Street event ever held here, organizers said. Good weather and the prospect of lots of free wassail, sixteen food booths, a parade and kids games combined to aid the big turnout.
