Devon Boehnke’s Granddaughter Places in U.S. Winter Nationals

Devon Boehnke’s granddaughter, Joy Fields was at it again over the weekend. The Magnolia High School junior participated in the U.S. Winter Nationals in Austin where she placed second in the 1650 meter freestyle. The girl that beat Joy had to break the meet record to do so. He did get to watch her race on one of the three days, but was not in attendance when she won her medal. This was a race Joy had not prepared for and still did an excellent job. She is in ultimate training for the Olympic trials coming up this summer.
