Man Wearing Ski Mask & Nightgown Goes to Jail
A drunken dare turned into a fashion crime and a trip to jail for a man in La Grange on Saturday night, March 5. According to a report from the La Grange Police Department, Officer Justin Koehne was patrolling in the 200 block of South Jefferson Street around 11:20 p.m. when he noticed a man wearing black clothing and a ski mask.
Koehne stopped and spoke with the subject, who said he was wearing the strange clothing on of a dare. Upon closer inspection, Koehne noticed that the man was actually wearing a woman’s nightgown to accompany his ski mask. Koehne reported the subject had an odor of alcohol on his breath.
The officer administered a field sobriety test, which resulted in the subject being arrested for public intoxication, “because he was a danger to himself and others,” the report stated.
