Clarence Bage

Clarence Bage, 88, of Dime Box, died on Monday, June 27, 2016 at his home in Dime Box. Clarence was born on June 10, 1928 in Dime Box, the son of Wilhelm “Willie” and Selma (Marburger) Bage and was united in marriage to Joyce (Dunn) Bage on March 6, 1954. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 1, 2016 from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. and on Saturday, July 2, 2016 from 7 a.m. until 8 a.m. at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Giddings. The family will be present Friday evening from 5 until 7 p.m. Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 2, 2016 at St. John Lutheran Church in Dime Box. Burial with military honors provided by the Giddings American Legion Post 276 will follow in the church cemetery. Clarence is survived by his wife of 62 years, Joyce Bage of Dime Box; seven children, Terry and Vivian Bage of Comfort, Sherry Bage of Dime Box, Richard and Chris Bage of Dime Box, Patrick and Tammy Bage of Dime Box, Danielle and Jim Bailey of Baytown, Mitchell and Toy Bage of Santa Fe, Texas and Benny Bage of Baytown; and ten grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren and two sisters, Lydia Lehmann of Giddings and Lorene Caddell  of Georgetown.  Phillips and Luckey Funeral Home in Giddings is in charge of arrangements.
