Herschel L. Johnson, III

Herschel L. Johnson, III, 46, of La Grange, died Monday, June 27, 2016 with his mother by his side at Oakland Manor Nursing Home in Giddings. Herschel was born in Dallas on April 27, 1970, the son of Herschel L. Johnson, Jr. and Lonnita (Daniels) Johnson. He is survived by his mother, Lonnita; grandfather, Lonnie Daniels, both of La Grange; two sisters: Lonnita Jeanne Carlisle and husband, Dr. Chris Carlisle, of Sioux Falls, S.D.; Lonnita Joy Macaluso and husband, Bob, of Ovilla; brother, Joshua Herschel Johnson and wife, Bethany Riddle Johnson, of Nashville, Tenn.; step mother, Della (Dupree) Johnson of Dallas; step sister, Jennifer Chuddy of Washington D.C.; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Herschel L. Johnson, Jr.; grandmother, Juanita Manos Daniels; and parental grandparents, Herschel and Louise Johnson. Memorial services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
