Veronica “Sissy” (Karstedt) Kristoff, 84 of La Grange, died Thursday, July 21, 2016 in La Grange. Veronica was born in Holman on Oct. 26, 1931 the daughter of Louis and Anna (Ber) Karstedt. She married Emil Kristoff on June 22, 1948 at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Holman. “Sissy” enjoyed working in her yard and garden, cooking, bingo, listening to country music and watching her favorite TV shows. She worked at Shoe World along side her coworker and special friend, Margaret. Later she worked at Fayette Memorial Hospital. She is survived by daughter, Judy Stolle of La Grange, three sons: Glen Kristoff and special friend, Barbara Fonseca; Douglas Kristoff; and Kenneth Kristoff and wife, Susan all of La Grange; twin brother, Vernon “Sonny” Karstedt Sr. and wife, Bertha of La Grange; five grandchildren: Steven Stolle of Spring; Matthew Stolle and wife, Jennifer of Spring; Jacob Kristoff and wife, Kristina of Ledbetter; Joey Kristoff and wife, Heather of Kyle; Adam Kristoff and friend, Elizabeth Berger of La Grange; three great grandsons: Jackson, Brandon, and Preston Kristoff; two step great granddaughters, Maddie and Annie Hilton and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sonin- law, Earl Stolle; daughter-in-law, Jane Kristoff, five sisters and two brothers; special friend Margaret Niesner Visitation was held on Sunday, July 24, 2016 from 12 to 6 p.m. at Koenig & Strickland Funeral Home in La Grange. Family received friends from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Koenig & Strickland Funeral Home. A rosary was recited at 6 p.m. Funeral Services were held at Koenig & Strickland Funeral Home in La Grange at 10 a.m. on Monday, July 25, 2016. Burial followed in the La Grange City Cemetery.
