Kilian

Allen “Al” Kilian, 67, of La Grange, died Tuesday, July 19, 2016, in Austin. Allen was born on July 12, 1949 in Smithville to Walter and Mildred (Zoch) Kilian. Al faithfully served his country in the Army National Guard for 13 years. He married Beatrice Santos on August 30, 1997. He was a retired carpenter who was a master craftsman when working with wood. When he wasn’t working, Al enjoyed fishing and gardening. He is survived by his wife, Beatrice Kilian of La Grange; two brothers, Albert Kilian of San Antonio and Daniel Kilian and his wife, Karen, of Warda; two brothers-in-law, Manor Santos of Waynesville, Mo. and John Santos and his wife, Barbara, of Houston; one sister-inlaw, Beauty Mae Santos of La Grange; three aunts Rose Marie Kilian of La Grange, Lorine Zoch of Houston, and Alma Kilian of Smithville; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services for Allen “Al” Kilian, 67, of La Grange, were held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, July 24, 2016, at St. Michael’s Lutheran Church in Winchester with Rev. Nate Hill officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery. Phillips and Luckey Funeral Home in Giddings was in charge of arrangements.
