Local Educators Attend Texas State Convention in Frisco

Over 1,000 key women educators attended the Delta Kappa Gamma Society International’s 87th Texas state convention June 23-25 at the Frisco Convention Center in Frisco. Four local educators from the Beta Theta chapter participated in the convention. They were Virginia Olsovsky, Flatonia; Cheri Herbrich, La Grange; Christine Morrison, Ellinger; and Diane Sikkenga, Bastrop. Beta Theta chapter is comprised of educators from Bastrop, Colorado, and Fayette counties. Awards and recognitions their chapter received included the Presidential Award for Chapter Excellence, the Annie Award for outstanding programs, 5-Star newsletter, and Exemplary yearbook.
