911 Dispatcher Arrested For Passing Information
By ANDY BEHLEN A Fayette County 911 dispatcher has been arrested for allegedly tipping off a subject about officers’ plans to search a home in Mullins Prairie.
Lt. David Beyer of the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office and Texas Ranger Brent Barina arrested 54-year-old Ricky Kovar of Fayetteville, a 19-year veteran of the Fayette County 911 service, at the Sheriff’s Office on Monday, August 1. Kovar has denied the allegations.
According to a criminal complaint filed by Texas Ranger Brent Barina, Kovar allegedly passed law enforcement information to a female individual “with intent to obtain a benefit.”
