All Fayette County ISDs Pass State Accountability Standards
By ANDY BEHLEN Texas Education Agency released school accountability ratings on Monday, August 15. All Fayette County public schools met state standards.
Flatonia High School performed exceptionally well, leading all schools in the county in three of the four key performance indices measured by the state.
TEA accountability ratings assign scores to schools in the areas of student achievement, student progress, closing performance gaps and postsecondary readiness. Schools that fall below the minimum scores set by TEA can end up on the Public Education Grant program list. Parents of students in those schools are entitled to transfer their children to better-performing schools without paying tuition.
