City to Purchase VFW Hall

By JEFF WICK At last Monday’s La Grange City Council meeting, council members unanimously voted to purchase the Veterans of Foreign Wars Hall and the two acres sits on from the local VFW organization.

The facility, which is adjacent to the Fayette County Fairgrounds, was becoming more difficult for the members of the VFW to maintain and additionally all the land surrounding the hall was owned by the city.
