Intoxicated Man Walks into Wrong House, Meets 20-Gauge

A La Grange man is facing a charge of misdemeanor criminal trespassing after allegedly wandering into the wrong house while intoxicated early Sunday morning, Aug. 28.

According to a report from La Grange Police Investigator Gonzalo Anguiano, 29-year-old Miguel Mendez told police he was drinking beer late Saturday night and early Sunday morning outside his residence near the corner of Jackson and Lafayette when he decided to call a friend at 2 a.m. Mendez said the friend invited him to come over to his place, about a block away.

Anguiano said Mendez began walking to the friend’s residence but got disoriented. Mendez walked up to the wrong house and knocked on the door.
