Bees Attack Man Shredding Brush
A 49-year-old Schulenburg-area man required a trip to the hospital after getting stung by bees around noon on Thursday, Sept. 22.
According to a report from the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office, a 911 caller reported the incident around 12:15 p.m. The caller said the man was shredding brush on property along Marty Road when the bees attacked.
The caller did not know where the man was at on the property. Schulenburg first responders and Deputy Rick Bohlmann responded. By the time they arrived, the man had made it back into the residence but was suffering from an alergic reaction.
Fayette County EMS transported the man to St. Mark’s Hospital. Chief Deputy Randy Noviskie of the Sheriff’s Office said the man is expected to recover.
