Her last job until retirement was at Region 4, a part of the Houston Independent School District. She was the receptionist and loved every minute of it because of all the interaction with all the visitors and employees. Lucy was always there for her children. Running car pool, scouts, school carnivals, and whatever else her kids were involved in; she was there. Lucy leaves behind her husband of 62 years, Gus R. Steinmann. They had four children, Gus, Tim, Cindy and Lisa. Lucy has seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren with one on the way. Lucy adored her grandchildren. Lucy never met a stranger, she was always first in line to help anyone in need. Her faith remained strong thru out her illness and she knew she was going to see Jesus.
