Police Investigating Burglaries at Superdonuts, Riverside and Murphy’s

La Grange Police are searching for those responsible for three burglaries that took place over the last month. 

On Sept. 22, Officer Justin Koehne of the La Grange Police investigated a break-in at the Murphy USA gas station under construction near Walmart. According to a report from Police Chief Jackie Skelton, someone gained access by using a key to remove the lock mechanism from the door. Skelton said a number of tools were taken from the building.

Then on Oct. 5, Sgt. Travis Anderson investigated a burglary at Riverside Cafe. Skelton said workers found a side door had been kicked-in sometime before they got to work at 6 a.m. Skelton said the cash register was missing from the restaurant. Anderson found the register behind the business. Skelton said the register had been pried open and about $100 in cash was missing.
