Moore, Fitzpatrick Sign Intent Letters

Above, La Grange High School senior Hatti Moore, front and center, signed her letter of intent Thursday to accept a scholarship to play softball for the University of Missouri. Moore has been a star catcher for the Lady Leps since she was a freshman and has helped lead the La Grange girls to two state titles. Seated beside Hatti are her parents Kelli and Steve Moore. Standing, left to right, are her sisters Georgie and Lauren.

I’m really excited. It’s been a long journey and everybody that’s here has helped me along the way. It’s very, very emotional. Right when I got on campus I fell in love with it and the coaches were a huge part of that.

La Grange High School senior Darby Fitzpatrick, above front and center, signed her letter of intent Thursday to accept a scholarship to play softball for Sam Houston State University. Fitzpatrick is a star pitcher and a key member of last year’s state champion La Grange softball team.  Seated beside Darby are her parents Marc and Stephanie Fitzpatrick.  Standing, left to right, are her sisters Kate and Emma.

I’m just really happy to be one more step closer to going there. The first time I went to Huntsville, I saw the town and just fell in love with it. It’s kind of similar to La Grange.  I loved everything about it.
