Golden Chick Burglarized Wednesday Morning

La Grange Police Chief Jackie Skelton reported that someone broke into Golden Chick on Wednesday morning, Nov. 16.

Skelton said a security alarm at the business notified police around 5:30 a.m. He said officers responded within minutes but found no one at the restaurant. He said the culprit broke in through the drive-through window and took the money safe. He said investigators believe the suspect left through the back door.

Skelton said the business had security cameras installed on the property but management reported that they were not functioning.

The Chief asked La Grange residents to look out for the money safe, which may have been broken into and discarded somewhere in town. If anyone sees it, do not touch it and call police immediately.
