Kervin Ray Johnson, 47, of La Grange, died Sunday, Jan. 8, 2017 in Schulenburg. He was born on Aug. 25, 1969 to Willis Wilson and Willie Mae (Johnson) Johnson in Weimar. He married Demetria (Scott) Johnson on Jan. 12, 1993 in La Grange. He was employed as a truck driver. He is survived by his wife, Demetria of La Grange; daugthers, Keyana Johnson of Houston and LaTrezia Johnson of La Grange; sons, Kentrell Johnson and Quayshon Johnson, both of La Grange; brothers, James and wife Patricia Johson of Austin, and Reginald Wilson of Columbus; sisters, Tammie and Husband Mark Corner of Austin and Tammy Jackson of Columbus; and two grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, stepfather, three uncles, one aunt, and one cousin. Funeral services were held at Greater Mt. Arie Baptist Church in Weimar at 11 a.m. on Satruday, Jan. 21 with the Rev. Shun Deese officiating. Interment followed at Good Hope Memorial Cemetery in Weimar. Tommy E. Taylor Funeral Home of La Grange was in charge of arrangements.
