Frank Menefee Sr

Visitation for Frank Menefee Sr., 85, of La Grange, was held from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 28, 2017 in the Fayette Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in La Grange.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 29, 2017 in the Fayette Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. J. Paul Bruhn, officiating. Interment followed in the Rutersville Cemetery.

Frank was born Sept. 29, 1931 in Ratcliff to George William and Eva Pixley Menefee. Frank attended schools in Groveton and served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He married Betty Jean Turner on April 10, 1959 in Houston. He loved fishing and spending time with his family.

Frank is survived by two sons, Frank Menefee, Jr. and his wife Diane, and Michael Menefee, and his wife Anissa; two daughters; JoAnne Sterling and Karen Ocanas; 11 grandchildren; Courtney Menefee, Christopher Menefee, Connor Menefee, Mandeline Sterling, Danny (D.J.) Polasek, Samantha Evans and her husband, Austin, Shelbe Sterling, Preston Vega, Jamelyn Stokes and her husband, Leroy, Juliana Orduna and her husband, Daniel, and Jeni Ocanas; seven great-grandchildren; Colby Menefee, Liam Kimbell, Sterling Evans, Daniel Orduna, Briana Orduna, Jayden Orduna, and Nova Hill.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Betty Jean, two brothers and one sister.
