Thumann, Smith & Lobos Seize $500,000 Worth of Cocaine

Sgt. Randy Thumann and his K-9 partner Lobos of the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office seized another half million dollars worth of cocaine during an Interstate 10 traffic stop on Tuesday, Feb. 7. 

According to a report from Sheriff Keith Korenek, Thumann and Lobos stopped a Dodge Charger for a traffic violation on Interstate 10 east of Flatonia. The stop happened around 1:15 p.m.

“After speaking to the driver about his travel itinerary which made no sense, and observing his raised level of nervousness when speaking about illegal drugs, Sgt. Thumann became suspicious that the vehicle may be involved in transporting illegal narcotics,” the report stated.
