Schulenburg Stopped One Step Short of State

The Schulenburg boys basketball team just missed making their second state tournament appearance in the last three seasons.

The Shorthorns lost to Santa Rosa 73-55 in the IV-3A regional final Saturday in Seguin as Schulenburg’s season ends with a 27-9 overall record.

Santa Rosa (29-2) advances to the state tourney which begins Thursday in the Alamodome.
