Remember When?

March 17-21, 1968

The following men were drafted by the State Selective Service boards at La Grange and Temple: Herbert T. Janssen Jr., Milroy W. Helmken and John T. Kimble of La Grange; and Albert R. Mitchell Jr. of Weimar.

Four cagers from Fayetteville Rural High School were chosen for the All-District 55-B basketball teams. Gary Fritsch was picked on the first boys’ team and Kenneth Jurecka was given a berth on the second team. Receiving honorable mentions were Penny Brendle, who was picked for a guard slot, and Linda Heinsohn, who was selected for a forward position.
