Steroid Use Can Be Beneficial – If It’s Necessary

I have a confession. I sometimes use steroids – but not for the reason many athletes have used them.

I periodically have to take steroids, namely prednisone, for my chronic asthma.

Most of the time I keep things under control with other prescriptions, but occasionally, the doctor will prescribe a megadose of a week’s worth of prednisone.
