Bell

Anita Laura Bell, 92, of Ashdown, Ark., died April 21, 2017 in Ashdown. Anita was born in Warda to Paul and Christiane Lehmann on May 7, 1924. She went to grade school in Warda and later earned a business certificate from a business school in Houston. She worked for many years as a bookkeeper and a florist in the Houston area. She was a Christian and a faithful member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Pasadena. She enjoyed cooking and sewing forher family. Anita was preceded in death by Franklin Bell, her husband of 37 years, her parents, five brothers and one sister. She is survived by her daughters, Yvonne (David) Bond of Ashdown, Ark., and Nelda (James) Brown of Overland Park, Kan.; four grandsons, Dr. David (Renee) Bond of Bryant, Ark., Darrin (Robin) Bond of Ashdown, Ark., Matthew (Karra) Neely of Belton, Mo. and Christopher Neely of Overland Park, Kan. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation for Anita will be held Wednesday, April 26, 2017 from 6 to 8 p.m. and funeral services will be held Thursday, April 27 at 2 p.m. Burial willfollow in La Grange City Cemetery. Fayette Memorial Funeral Home in La Grange is in charge of arrangements.
