Man Arrested For Stealing From Dairy

Fayette County Sheriff Keith Korenek reports an investigation has led to the arrest of a Schulenburg man for theft from a local dairy that provides products to the public on the honor system. 

Last Thursday Deputy Kenn Kretz was dispatched to that local dairy farm after the owner noticed that products were missing but no money was being paid. Instead, money had actually been taken over a four-day period.  

Deputy Kretz investigated further and after reviewing the video surveillance, the responsible culprit was recognized by both he and Chief Deputy Randy Noviskie. Kretz completed the investigation and presented the case to the Fayette County Attorney who later accepted charges for Theft of Property.   

Kretz acquired a warrant of arrest and the subject was arrested on Tuesday, April 25, and booked into the Dan R Beck Justice Center in La Grange.  The subject was identified as 36-year - old Ronald Joe Peroni II of Schulenburg.  

Peroni was also issued a criminal trespass warning for the complainant’s property.
